MY HEART BELONGS TO STOCKHOLM

I could effortlessly fill this post with how shagadelic the swedish way of life, swedish aesthetics and especially swedish men are, but because you'll never believe it until you've seen it, I'll just share some favorite places with you, so you can go see for yourself ;)

HERMANS (picture above)
As I am a food-addict for life, this is my personal heaven. First of all, they have an awesome vegetarian buffet, which on Mondays only costs 80 SEK for students (equals 12 Franks = like, uuh, nothing ;), second of all, that price includes tea and coffee non-stop refill, third, you can carry your food out to the huuuuge garden overlooking the ocean and dear Stockholm, fourth, there are hammocks in the garden and fifth, it is situated right above the Fotografiska!
FOTOGRAFISKA
Has the most entertaining photo exhibtions I've ever been to. You will see works of stars like Annie Leibowitz next to comtemporary Swedish artists. There's no elitist vibe going on and many of the exhibitions have catchy themes (momentarily: FASHION!), so even photography freshmen will get sparkly eyes. But the real sight is waiting on the top floor...
GLENN MILLERS CAFÉ
Really cosy little bar with a living 20's atmosphere. One of the rare places, where you can squeeze up next to your table-neighbour, have a great dinner and listen to the jazz musicians swingin' right in front of you, while outside the snowflakes fall in the narrow alleyway...
SATURNUS
Have the biggest, most hugest cinnamon rolls in Stockholm! I guess that's why everyone brings their whole family in here, so they can share one and still save some for the winter. And like in every coffee shop in Sweden, you can refill your coffee/tea as many times as you want!
CHRISTMAS AT SKANSEN
We actually danced around a christmas tree here. Don't judge us - everybody was doing it! Swedish people just know how to FIRA!

Not such a comfortable situation part 1

This is another image of the work I had to do for school which theme was called "Strange images".
Reminds me of "Final Destination". Kind of ugly.

Hasta pronto,

UGLY MONDAY 10

Watch out, coming through !

Embraced

Imagine your body was embraced by your own hair and you would be hanging headlong...
"Strange images" was the theme we were given at school. This was one of my ideas.

Portrait series about mannequins. I tried to show the emotions and feelings of those who can't speak. What are they worrying, what are they dreaming about?

REMOTE CONTROL

This project was done for school with the theme "strange pictures".
My original intention was to make a painting in which my typical painting style wasn't recognizable anymore, by manipulating myself with some exterior obstruction. But soon I had to admit, I was fighting a losing battle! So what was I to do but to center the theme of this project upon my new found dilemna...?

deadly nightshade

Deadly nightshade is a series of staged pictures. The project was inspired by a text of Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon called "proposal for a story". The series is only a "proposal" too. It proposes a story but doesn't show what really happened. Everyone is invited to make up his own story.
